Operations Manager – Venture & Portfolio Management

The Role: Hands-On Operator & Growth Architect 

Reporting directly to the COO, you will be a key driver of Ideawise’s transformation. This role is not about maintaining the status quo—it’s about structuring, streamlining, and accelerating growth across our company and portfolio ventures. 

You will work across operations, company management, and startup portfolio oversight, ensuring that our processes, strategies, and execution are razor-sharp. You will be in the trenches with leadership, making sure everything runs smoothly while identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities—and fixing them. 

What You’ll Own & Drive 

1. Operational Excellence & Company Transformation

• Support the COO in optimizing Ideawise’s internal operations, ensuring high execution speed and efficiency. Identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement scalable operating processes.
• Oversee cross-functional collaboration, ensuring smooth execution across departments.
• Assist in structuring management processes and aligning leadership priorities.
• Track and report key company performance metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making. 

2. Portfolio Management & Startup Execution

• Support the portfolio companies in growth execution, operational optimization, and strategic direction. Work with founders and teams to drive traction, scale operations, and ensure sustainable growth.
• Provide hands-on support in financial planning, hiring, and operational scaling.
• Set up and refine dashboarding, tracking, and performance metrics for venture success. 

3. Growth & Data-Driven Execution 

• Implement growth frameworks, ensuring all ventures operate with a test-learn-scale mindset. 
• Analyze data across Ideawise and the startup portfolio to optimize performance and decision-making. 
• Systematize portfolio-wide best practices, creating repeatable playbooks for execution. 
• Collaborate with marketing, growth, and product teams to ensure execution aligns with company and portfolio goals. 

Who You Are 

• 5+ years in high-growth startups, VC-backed scale-ups, or venture building roles. 
• Data-driven and analytical—you make decisions based on insights, not opinions. 
• Proven experience in company-building, growth execution, and startup operations. 
• Hands-on operator—you don’t just strategize; you execute and get things done. 
• High-energy, go-getter mentality—you take ownership, thrive in fast-paced environments, and push projects forward without waiting for permission. 
• Experience in portfolio management, venture capital, venture studios, or growth-stage startups is a plus. Deep understanding of venture growth mechanics, operational scaling, and business strategy. Exceptional problem-solving skills—you can break down complex challenges into actionable solutions.
• Strong communicator who can interface with founders, executives, and cross-functional teams.
